Guatemalans marched in Washington, DC and about 72 other cities across the nation to remind President Obama about his promise to pass comprehensive immigration reform. The marches were fueled by the immigration law passed recently in Arizona.
Gloria Estefan marched alongside Mayor Antonio Villarraigosa in Los Angeles. Gloria Estefan said, "this country is a nation of immigrants."
The absence of a comprehensive immigration reform has torned families apart, keeps children in fear that their parents may be deported, as well as many young adults who are inelligible for a higher education.
